This is one of the best places in Prior Lake to go have a drink , relax and grab a great meal. The servers are always friendly and the beer cold. The food is also excellent. I have been here several time and have had the sandwiches and the steaks and fish everything is awesome. I love their home made chips yummy just right! The Ruben is to die for so is the Cole slaw (it's fresh made too). OK I need to stop because I am making myself hungry. Lol. Just go try it you will love it.

Fun local destination but nothing special. It has a lot of regulars which i believe are what keeps it a float. The food is average, and so is the service. Very typical small town bar feel. I will say that karaoke is always a good time though.

Food is always good. They have been a little skimpy on the sides as of late. Unless you are there during prime time the food always seems to take to long. The waitress seems overworked but super friendly. Might not want to take the kids there to late in the evening....gets a tad barish(is that a word). Food good. Price not to bad. Atmosphere just ok.

Before moving to California, this was a go to spot for my dad and myself. We typically sit at the bar and the bartenders are great, many whom we've gotten to know pretty well over the years. Over my holiday visit we came here twice. The service is always good, food is as expected, and the environment is very friendly and casual. This is MN, not Ireland, so if you want a legit Irish pub, get a plane ticket. The beer here is cheap, food is reasonably priced, and service has always been quick. We are big pull tab fans, so that is always good as well. Thanks for not going electric on your pull tabs!

I am not sure what is going on with the place but I have been going there for almost 20 years and the last 3-4 times have been bad service and bad food. Saturday we stopped in after soccer with the kids. The salads showed up with the meal and the breakfast special was nothing special. Dried out bread on the sandwich and the hash browns where not hashbrowns but a hashloaf. Dried out with cornflakes on the top. Those that ordered lunches got their salad with the meal not before. Decided to give them another chance on Monday night. No bowls for the popcorn but the staff quickly found some. Places our order immediatly and things seemed to go much better. Until 20 minutes went by and there were no salads again and the chips that are suppose to come before the meal when you order Mexican were MIA. My fajitas plate with all of the fixings showed up first. The. 5 min later the fajita showed up. Then we asked about the salads, meals and chips. All then showed up at the same time. Kids meals had steak fries and when I asked they said they were out of fries. Staff seemed annoyed when I was upset as my kids would not eat steak fries and they should have said something. Chips were dried out and not the colorful chips I had grown to like over the years. By the time I ate my fajita it was cold and not good. The kids meals had clearly been under the best lamp. It appeared that the wait staff in the back section was overworked and the front section was empty. The front staff finallyed chipped in when we were leaving. At no time did the staff attempted to make anything right with my bill based on the poor quality food but rather seemed annoyed with me. I sent an email to them with no response. This is the last time I will visit them.

TJ's is a great place to eat. I love the business person special, the turkey bacon croissant, and the service is really good.

Great service. Good food. Breakfast is really good and should be prompted a little more. Take out can be a little awkward. The bar is full and not always sure where to go to pick up and pay.

We love hooligans! Great food, cold beer. Karaoke on Saturday night. Great Bloody Mary bar on Sundays too!

Even though I live, like, 2 minutes away from here, it's not a restaurant I go to often and I'm not sure why. The food is always good and the atmosphere has a nice "old school" vibe to it, but I just always forget about it.

This is a place that's very comfortable with what it is and that makes for a consistently pleasant experience. I love the popcorn, the servers are attentive without hovering and the food is good and reasonably priced.

I never go to Prior Lake but this night was an exception due to the fact I met up with an old friend from high school who was in need of a drink. This joint wasn't too far from the alchohol-free behemeth, Mystic Lake, so we opted to stop in for a pint. The decor and overall feel of this place is a slight rip of of Applebees with an "Irish twist". However, judging by their menu, drink selection, and decor, the only thing "Irish" about this place was their bar mascot/logo. The wait staff was slightly slow despite only having a few patrons in the place. However, the beer was cheap and served in Mason jars which is always a nice "throwback to the past". They also had a spacious patio that would make having a toddie on a warm night, rather pleasant. Don't expect to be stunned here but if left with few options in Prior Lake, this might be a good starting point.

I love their burgers (especially the black and blue) and like that they have a beer sampler option. The only reason I didn't give this 4 stars is because of karaoke night. I tried to avoid that like the plague as it usually features a cast of my high school classmates I'd avoid at reunions.

Super score for Prior Lake! The folks here are great, so helpful & friendly in an atmosphere that supports watching the big game while kids of all ages can still feel safe, loved, and allowed to be kids! I first went here for a drink with my best friend one night before we tried our luck at the casino.....well made drinks & fun video games, we couldn't go wrong! The crowd obviously had some regulars and they seemed, all in all, like a beautiful bunch of locals :) The 2nd visit was for lunch with my teen son. This is where the test of value always comes into play ;) We had an appetizer (server had perfect timing) and sandwiches that were obviously made to order (I'm thinking even the turkey was carved freshly because it was so moist?!) Anyway, great family environment & I'm ALWAYS HAPPY 2 frequent our local eateries!

Atmosphere is pretty nice and has been packed both times we have stopped in. The food last night was worse than before. I had the prime rib sandwich and expected fresh prime rib as they offer a prime rib dinner Friday and Saturdays. What I received resembled a frozen McRib patty without much flavor and the fries were poured out of a freezer bag. The fries didn't even seem like they were even fully cooked. I guess I would have expected much more for a $12 dinner. I will be back but only for drinks and maybe an app.

Good food and great service. Still family owned and I talked with a cook last year who said they buy local produce from the farmers and they try to serve organic food. The menu has many choices. I like their Mexican fare. Their appetizers are great, hamburgers juicy and meatloaf grilled sandwich to die for. I would recommend Hooligans.

Substandard bar food. Attempts to have a Mexican portion of the menu; not well done. The burgers are passible, but the fries are mediocre (that's probably erring on the side of excessive praise). The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, however.

T.J. Hooligans has a great atmosphere and a super all-American menu with a few surprises. This is not like your typical hamburger and steak chain - you'll be pleasantly surprised! The drinks are good and they keep 'em coming. The food was great, fast, and hot. The chips could use a little more salt, and the chicken, walleye, and patty melt are all great!

Painfully slow service with mediocre food. We waited 10 minutes to get our drink order, than another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Looks like a nice place to have a drink, but be sure to eat before you go.

Great local restaurant and bar. Large selection of food. good size portions and tastes good. We go on Friday nights with a few of the neighbors. The have Karaoke if you like. A nice sociable place. It gets pretty crowded on Friday nights.
